“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” How many of you have heard this expression?
Willpower seems to be a neglected character trait to many people today. Even for the people of God, many of us may need a deeper understanding of the connection between spiritual willpower and the Kingdom of God.
To be clear, we certainly cannot make it into God’s Kingdom by virtue of our willpower, or by the strength of our own will or by our own works!
However, we do have an important responsibility before our Great God.
Here are the words of Jesus Christ:
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” Matthew 7:21.
Our responsibility to God is to do His will – and that requires spiritual willpower!
