Today I would like to talk about an inspiring and foundational group of individuals known in the New Testament as the apostles. God has appointed special roles in the Church to serve the body of Christ Jesus and be part of its foundation. In 1 Corinthians 12:28-31, the first Paul mentions are the apostles. I would like to talk about this unique group of disciples today because what they did is a powerful example of faith and commitment for all of us. As Paul also mentioned in Ephesians 2:19-20 (NKJV) "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, {20} having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, "
