The Day of Trumpets symbolizes the return of Jesus Christ to this world. When Jesus was on earth, he used healing as part of his ministry (Matthew 9:35). We learn in Isaiah how Christ is going to return to cure and bring health to the world. Also, in Revelations it shows that there will be trees planted that will bring health and healing to all, when Christ sets up His kingdom on this earth.
