Speaker: Tom Meece 8/15/20 The Church, as the word is used in the Bible, refers to people God has called out of this world and given understanding and beliefs others do not have. The Church (United Church of God, A.I.A.) is a group of people knit together through common beliefs for the purpose of doing a work: caring for spiritual needs of members and providing information and guidance for those seeking truth and answers in life. Because people tend to focus on the 2nd meaning of the Church instead of the 1st, misunderstandings and problems sometimes arise. This message will clarify some misconceptions regarding the Church of God with the intent of improving our worldview, enabling us to work along with God’s intentions instead of contrary to them. Having this clear understanding provides us with comfort and direction in life and has a settling effect. Pls.
