The Day of the Lord is a thread that runs through the entirety of the fabric of scripture. Primary found in the former and minor prophets - the description of this 'day' speaks of a time of God's judgment against a nation or a peoples that has gone astray. It is a time of despair, and a time of incredible hope in the future.
