Satan is a liar and murderer; he has blinded all mankind to the truth. He is the destroyer, and he is our adversary. Most of the sin and suffering we see in society around us is mainly due to Satan’s continued efforts to destroy God’s plan to bring salvation to all mankind. The day of Atonement pictures a time in the future when he will not be allowed to influence mankind for a thousand years. Without him around, mankind will follow God and happiness and peace will abound everywhere.
