When God gave the Ten Commandments we know that God gave us the outline for relationships. Two of these commandments are commands about family. The fifth commandment is God’s instruction to Honor our father and mother. Parenthood is sanctified by God and is protected by one the Ten Commandments. It is the first commandment with promise.
