The kings of Israel and Judah participated in or allowed the worship of other gods on the high places. The worship on the high places was the primary reason that Israel and Judah were taken into captivity. King Josiah was one of the few kings who realized how God hated these places of worship and destroyed them from throughout the Kingdom of Judah. What lessons can we learn from Josiah’s example of diligently seeking to eliminate the impact of the high places in our society today?
