One of the main arguments people use to try and say Christians do not have to keep the law is the argument that the law did not exist until it was given to Israel at the time of Moses. In this sermon Gary Smith presents the detailed evidence from the book of Genesis that the law existed from the time of the creation. First God created the physical laws that govern the universe, then the laws that govern plant and animal life. Finally, throughout the book of Genesis, we see evidence that God's spiritual law centered in the ten commandments existed from the beginning of human life on earth.

Gary Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but spent most of his youth in the Pasadena, California area. He graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and he and his wife, Liz, moved to Peoria, Illinois. For the next six years he worked as a nursing home administrator in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
In 1982, he and Liz began to serve in the full-time ministry. Since that time, they have served in a number of congregations in the Midwest.
Gary and Liz now pastor in Houston, Texas near their two children and grandson.
