God has given to us the greatest gift of all--His only begotten Son. When He came into this world, even His own people did not receive Him. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). This sermon, given shortly before Passover, helps us to understand what it means for us to receive Jesus Christ, and encourages us in our own personal relationship with our Father and with Christ. It requires that we make a conscious decision, and a commitment to believe and to follow Him. "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith..." (Col. 2:6-7).
