In this study Mr. Smith begins a new Bible study series on the pastoral epistles (Timothy and Titus). He begins the study showing us some of the reasons we should study these books and then looks at the reasons modern scholars claim Paul did not write these books, showing that their reasons have no real basis to them. Then before starting into I Timothy he shows what the book of Acts tells us about how Paul first came into contact with Timothy. He finishes the study by looking at the opening verses of I Timothy that tell us Paul placed Timothy in the church at Ephesus to deal with the false doctrines some were trying to bring into that church.
