Today I am going to talk about and the Spirit of Man and the Spirit of God but use the history and discovery of radio to help us understand how these two spirits operate in us.

 

There are pioneers in the radio, electric, and mechanical sciences in the late 19th century and 20th century. Names like Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and George Westinghouse gave us the foundation some of our eras greatest electronics of the industrial era and Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, founders of HP, Bill Gates of Microsoft, and Steve Jobs from Apple Computer added to the wealth of knowledge in the transition to the information age.

In the late 19th century a man from Scotland named James Clerk Maxwell formulated the classical theory of the properties of electromagnetic waves (radiation) known as Maxwell’s equations.

Heinrich Hertz, a German physicist, demonstrated and applied what Maxwell had only theorized; the production and reception of radio waves. Hertz proved the existence of radio waves in the late 1880s. The unit of frequency of a radio wave -- one cycle per second -- is named the hertz, in honor of Heinrich Hertz. Our FM radios, (FM-frequency modulation) are dialed in between the 88-108 megahertz band.

In 1885-1896 the first working basic designs for radio were developed.

Guglielmo Marconi, who claimed all the first patents for radio, comes to the mind of many of us as the first to make a radio system that would send and receive a radio wave signal

To do this, Marconi used newly created Tesla coils.

Marconi  discovered that when two Tesla Coils were tuned to resonate at the same frequency they could transmit and receive powerful radio signals.

When a Tesla Coil was tuned to a signal of a particular frequency, it literally magnified the incoming electrical energy through reverberating resonant action.

A Tesla Coil in effect was a radio tuner, like the tuners in a radio or WI-FI router or a TV.

Here is the point.

Human beings have been given ability

to receive the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Man.

Our bodies act like powerful Tesla Coils or radio tuners.

Let’s turn to 1 Corinthians 2:1-10

Paul is speaking about the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Man

1 Corinthians 1:2 (NKJV) To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 1 Corinthians 1:3 (NKJV) Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:4 (NKJV) I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

1 Corinthians 1:5 (NKJV) that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,

1 Corinthians 1:6 (NKJV) even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,

1 Corinthians 1:7 (NKJV) so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 1:8 (NKJV) who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:18 (NKJV) For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:1 (NKJV) And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.

1 Corinthians 2:2 (NKJV) For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:3 (NKJV) I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

1 Corinthians 2:4 (NKJV) And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

 (Paul was in weakness, fear and trembling and was able to magnify the incoming spiritual energy and create a demonstration of the Spirit's power)

1 Corinthians 2:5 (NKJV) that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men

(Mankind’s bandwidth - apportioned to Spirit of Man)

but in the power of God. (A very few  license holders have access to the Spirit of God).

1 Corinthians 2:6 (NKJV) However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature,

(Those license holders who are tuned in and know better how to get a good and strong signal -, seasoned operators of the spiritually filled and led mind)

yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

1 Corinthians 2:7 (NKJV) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, (the “we” speaking could be the first century church leaders, or could be symbolic of pastors or teachers of the Word of God in any era of the church.)

1 Corinthians 2:8 (NKJV) which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written:

     “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man

     The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1 Corinthians 2:10 (NKJV) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.

A very few license holders have access to the Spirit of God.

 

For the Spirit searches all things, yes, and the deep things of God.

I am part of a volunteer team of ten website monitors at United. We each have a login name and password to have super administrator access any US UCG church website and search the deep administrative things in the background of the sites.

 

The Holy Spirit has given you and me super administrator rights us searching all the deep things of God.

Paul says: “The deep things of God, God's secret wisdom, now being revealed to us through His Spirit are a demonstration of the Spirit's power.”

 

1 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV) For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?

(This spirit of man knows the wisdom of this age. This spirit of man is barren and unable to conceive or understand God’s wisdom. This mind is on the world’s standard frequency. It is receiving a basic message or program.)

The Spirit of man walks the course of this world like sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:1 (NKJV) And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

Ephesians 2:2 (NKJV) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

Ephesians 2:3 (NKJV) among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. This mind is receiving on the world’s standard frequency

How do we get on the right frequency?

 Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:12 (NKJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

We are a receiver with a built-in antenna getting a signal from God.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (NKJV) These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

(We receive and the Holy Spirit teaches.)

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God,

(the natural man wrong is tuned into the world’s frequency- the spirit of man

and are not license holders and do not receive the things of the Spirit of God.

for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

 

There are different frequencies inspiring people to act on what they understand.

 

Mankind’s bandwidth –frequency is apportioned to Spirit of Man.

There is a Spirit of Man that the flesh understands and reacts to by the things that mankind knows  There is a Spirit of God that reacts by the things known by God.

A very few license holders, (Converted Baptized Christians) have access to the Spirit of God.

 

Summary

A Tesla Coil in effect was a radio tuner, like the tuners in a radio or WI-FI router or a TV.

Human beings have been given ability

to receive the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Man.

Our bodies act like powerful Tesla Coils or radio tuners

to receive one or both of these wisdoms.

We transmit and receive spiritual signals.

The spirit of man knows the wisdom of this age, the wisdom of the world.

This spirit of man is barren and unable to conceive or understand God’s wisdom.

This mind is on the world’s standard frequency. It is receiving a basic message or program.)

The Spirit of man walks the course of this world like sons of disobedience.

 

We can have Godly wisdom and have the mind of Christ if we tune in to the Holy Spirits frequency. We become license holders to receive the things of the Spirit of God
