The final temptation that Satan pulled on Christ was a miraculous display of His power. Satan took Christ to an incredibly high spot on the temple mount, and told him to prove His identity by throwing Himself from the tower. Satan quotes Psalm 91, and assures Christ that God will send His angels to lift Him up. Christ responds with 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.', from Deuteronomy 6:16. What is the context of this reference? What happened, and what does it mean for us in the modern era of the Church?
