Blood is associated with life throughout the bible and the subject is an important part of God's plan for our salvation. Blood and blood vessels begin to form in a fetus at less than three weeks; hence blood is the foundation of our lives. The blood of bulls and goats, during old testament times, was used to forgive the sins of people, but could not remove the penalty of them. Since the sacrifice of Jesus and the spilling of His blood for us, our sins have been atoned for.
