Two concepts dominate our lives: space and time. Typically, we allow space and things to dominate our time. God wants us to do the opposite. He has designated sanctified time, the Sabbath and Holy Days which, when observed, benefit us and our relationship with Him.

Hi John, As soon as I saw the title I knew I had to listen to this one. I thought of Heschel's book right away. While I don't subscribe to the Hasidic approach to the Sabbath I certainly have a greater appreciation for their view and application. I really think we are just beginning to scratch the surface regarding how important a blessing this Temple in time is. Thanks, Jerry Burnhauser Bethlehem, Pa. P.S. We are using "Living in Babylon- Thanksgiving" today for the sermon in Bethlehem. (12-29-18)
