A focus that Jesus shared in the Sermon on the Mount is for Christians to focus on and picture the Kingdom of God and all that it represents. We must not only have the right motivation for our lives (as reviewed in part 1 and 2 of this series), but we must have the right motivation towards God Himself. Jesus Himself says, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." (Matthew 7:21) In Christ's Sermon on the Mount, Jesus asked all believers something fantastically great. He asked each of us to consider the motivation for our lives. The motivation of the Christian must be to "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness" which entails living all the aspects that Christ gave us in this powerful Sermon on the Mount.
