Our enemies will use whatever they can to divide us; the goal is not to rally people together but to drive them apart. This polarization can manifest itself as the "line in the sand" option, which is essentially a demand to choose one side or another. What manner of spirit are these demands of? How should we as God's children handle the demands to choose sides? Jesus often rejected the premise of answering a black and white question. Aligning yourself under Jesus and doing likewise is one very good answer.
