This Day of Atonement sermon covered the meaning of this Holy Day. In Jesus’ day, demon-possessed people were in the public eye so people were more aware of demons and their power. Since then, the millions of demons have gone “underground,” working invisibly and subtly to influence, deceive and destroy people in countless ways. Our only protection is for us to stay close to God and trust Him. We long for Christ to return soon to bind Satan and the demons and to reconcile mankind to God.
