The Bible reveals that God offers eternal life - salvation - to humanity. God's Word clearly states that we are saved by grace through faith, not our own faith, but faith that is a free gift of God and not the result of our works or effort (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 2:11). We are also told that faith without works is dead (James 2:26) and admonished to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Are these conflicting concepts? What are "works"? This message offers a biblically-based examination of the relationship between salvation and works.
