    2/2 The culminating statement God makes is to be found in Malachi 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation forever. God never expressed this sort of hatred towards Assyria, Egypt or any other people the way He does against Edom/Amalek. This is the real root and origin of the present Middle Eastern Conflict. Remember Yehovah Nissi (God is my banner) in Exodus 17 after the end of the battle of Rephidim: Exo 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek [Edom] from under heaven . . . Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek [Edom] from generation to generation.”

    God’s Churches have not transferred accurately the real roots of the conflict in the Middle East and the birthright bickering between Isaac’s twins Esau and Jacob as being the reason for it. We can find herewith the real dichotomy of the Middle Eastern crisis as it is unfolding today in front of our very eyes. God did not condemn any other people like He condemned the Edomites the way He did. Now and then, even the name of Babylon is equated to Edom & Amalek (Esau’s grandson half Edomite since Amalek married a daughter of Seir a Horite later merging into one people.) Ishmael’s alliance with Edom happened down the line since they are related. This family relationship happened when Esau married one of Ishmael’s daughters (Gen 28:9.) No curse is directed towards any people in the bible including Ishmael the way God directed his hatred towards Edom and Amalek: God spells out a Holy War upon Amalek/Edom for what they did to the Israelite which should be coined in modern terms “ The First Muslim Jihad” being ever recorded in the Middle East when Amalek attacked Israel in Rephidim: Exo 17:8-13. Moses’ arm (type of Christ) had to be held in order for Israel to prevail

    I just completed the survey but could not add this in the "free text area" Monkey did not accept it: here is my text for you to add to the survey as a consideration regarding the website: Please consider reshuffling the UCG-website and make it a place where members can meet online. We are in the crowd-sourcing era. UCG website is a “one-way” top-down hierarchical venue, trickles top-down information. It ought to become a meeting place. Please consider Amazon and Facebook for your comparison. Members should be able to post news, info, concerns, prayer requests, chat, communicate: none of this is possible. Why? Why do we have to use Facebook and do not have our own Facebook-Enterprise-Social-Network? UCG Website is a “passive” one way communication platform: I only go there when I need something: it’s almost like going to the dentist. Please consider transforming the website into an “Enterprise Social Network” for the benefit of the young, the lonely, the isolated and those who love to share and communicate: The leadership of the Church would also learn much more about its members, needs than by doing once a year a survey.     Dr. Ward! A masterpiece; I hope 20% or maybe 30% of the people who had the privilege to listen to this message "got it." I listened to it already three times and don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface and depth of it. There is authority in the Church indeed, but unfortunately, worldly and Church authority have been associated, and rightly so, with abuse, corruption, filthy lucre and worldly fascism (developing at an unprecedented speed on both sides of the pond: WWIII screaming at the backyard of our European Continent.) I am thrilled to be privileged to listen to one more of your messages. Dr. Ward, you are being one of God's servants who have been "around" for many, many years: Thank you for your crucial message.

    Great Sermon Mr. Meyer! We are on the same self-destructive and sin-destructive path on both sides of the pond as evil is overtaking our societies more and more! The results will be utter destruction! The way of peace they know not! The way of peace WE know not! This is a sobering indictment against each and every one of us: Thank you for a timely and insightful sermon.
