This was very informational, however what about the scripture that says to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD? (paraphrased) Can someone elaborate on that please. 2 Corinthians 5:8 I truly want a clear understanding of this topic from the word of GOD. I have always since childhood, had a fear of "death". I am not sure why..that is hard to figure out. But I was taught for years...that 2 Corinthians was a fact, when we passed we were then present with the LORD. That is what I have held on to and gave me hope and erraticated some of the fear, now I am not so sure. Please can you elaborate.
