God Instructed Israel to celebrate a "Jubilee" every 50 years. This Jubilee year was to be announced with a Trumpet on the Day of Atonement. What themes connect the Jubilee and the Day of Atonement and how should these themes should affect our lives today?

Winnowing is the process of separating valuable grain from the worthless outer husk that covers it. In ancient times, this process was done by tossing or pouring both grain and husk into the air and allowing the air to blow the chaff away and the grain to fall to the ground.

Leviticus 23 details the instructions from God about how the Israelite people were to observe the Holy Festivals. Within the directives regarding the Feast of Pentecost, is a command to offer a Peace offering. This was the only Festival that God required this specific sacrifice.
