Good points and important scriptures, John. However, be aware that the meaning of James 4:5 is uncertain, as is obvious when one compares various translations. You quoted the KJV which I think is a good translation of this verse. Here the "spirit" refers to our carnal human spirit or human nature, not the Holy Spirit and not a demonic spirit, although Satan and the demons influence our human nature when one is not close to God.

Janet, this is probably my favorite subject--God's creation, and especially His creation of our bodies and minds! Your article is wonderful--you related a lot of important facts in an inspiring way in a short space. One could write a billion words and still not thoroughly cover all that is amazing about our human anatomy and physiology.

Monica, I naturally appreciate hearing a "thank you" but your message is much more than that. I'm especially interested and inspired by the fact that you went into detail about how this article enlightened, inspired and motivated you. So thank you for this very special thank you.

David, I mostly agree with you but the Bible never refers to a "second millennium" (1,000-year period). After the Millennium mentioned in Revelation 20:4-6, the Bible doesn't reveal any time periods after that (with the possible exception of Isaiah 65:20).

Mr. Kubik, this is an excellent summary of our responsibilities toward and opportunities to serve our country! In only a little space, you covered the most important biblical principles very cogently. I hope countless people will take to heart what you wrote. And may God help us to stay close to Him through the trying times ahead of us!

Steve, this is always the most awesome subject and because it is so wonderful, it can be hard for people to comprehend it and believe it. But your approach and presentation of this is very clear, convincing and inspiring!

Amen, Jay! This is really the trunk of the tree. Thanks for the excellent article!

Jennifer, good article on a very important subject! Thank you!

Important point well stated! Thanks, Mary Jo.

Great points, Mary Jo! I love practical messages and good analogies like your article. Several ladies in the church who worked cleaning houses told me that part of their "work" was being a companion, confidant and "counselor" to the lonely lady of the house. You probably experience that too. Knowing the Bible enables you to understand practical psychology as well as having love for people. Thanks for the article!

    All the best to you.
