As Unleavened Bread ends, we must continue to follow Christ’s “new” commandment to love one another and continue putting sin out of our lives as we strive to obey God in all His ways.

Again and again we read that the “new” commandment Christ gave us defines the very essence of God: love. During this week, as we eat the unleavened bread, perhaps the most important thing we can do is examine how we are doing in learning how to love each other.

While the Night to Be Much Observed is not listed by name in Leviticus 23, it actually starts the 7-day observance of not eating leavened bread and partaking of unleavened bread. Its observance is commanded as a memorial of the night the Israelites left Egypt.
