Very Good Topic Thank You, Seems all I have heard about up until the last few weeks is how horrible things are and that they are going to become more horrible. In my mind that (the horribleness) is what we should be telling the world but not to be telling the brethren every week, week after week in services. God has given his children savy to see how the world is going, what we need to concentrate on is Php_4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. Dr. Ward,
Just Listened to your Sermon- Malaise: The Curse of Our Age, It is Apparent that God Gave you that one! I personally have been struggling and asking God "How can I serve You Better?" And in listening to this sermon I see that I was beginning to feel as my mother used to say, "I feel so un-necessary." I see that it was Malaise on her part, and I was beginning to go in that direction. I have been asking God how I can serve Him better and have been in the beginning of a rut because of Him not answering me on that. I believe this understanding that was apparent in this sermon is the Key, especially in Phillip: 4:1 where God says " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." MKJV. I see that I wasn't asking with Thanksgiving for all we already have. Thank God for the Men He has sent to be teachers such as yourself. I am 73 and have been in the church 50 years. I have had ups and downs and don't usually get down very easily, but this Sermon came at just the right time to help me get out of Malaise. Thank you for your diligent service to God by serving His people. JT GA.
