Linda, sometimes, we have to be careful of our words, for the newbies and the younger generations benefit. I heard someone of the younger generation said he loathed people worshipping HWA. We were not worshipping him, we were just bringing up the history. I also ran into a newbie, and she felt bringing his name up, was like us going to the SDA and hear about Ellen G. White. He was our teacher, and was called and sent out by God. I think God did a good job picking him. Because he stood strong, even when enemies tried to destroy him, and the work. As long as he was around the splits were minimal. Many of the things HWA taught, could be made reference by the Bible. And some, we do have to use HWA's name. There were many quotes that were made by him, that hold us in good stead. One often quoted, "Don't Believe Me, Believe the Bible". We should be able to quote words of any wise men. A whole adult generation has come up since he died 1986.. I think it is up to each speaker, how & what they say about HWA. He was the one, by Christ's direction, that started the existing Churches of God, today. We should be able to talk our history. HWA left a legacy, for even those not born yet.

Looking at charts and graphs make understanding for me, so much easier. UCG has an infographic in the centerfold of the booklet, " Rapture vs. The Bible.?" The timeline of the end times. You can order the booklet, but in the meantime, you can look at it here: https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/the-rapture-vs-the-bible/infographic-timeline-of-end-time-events. If this link doesn't work, just put in the name of the booklet and the word infographic, and you can go from there. Or just put in infographic ... that works too.

The restoration of ALL things? I visualize the earth restored back to the way that it was at creation. That would include longevity of life.. Also restoring back to clean air, soil and water. Possibly no more thorns and painful childbirth. Animal's nature will no longer hurt.. especially children.. deadly reptiles, amphibians, insects. (Isa.11) Redeveloping the geography of the earth and planning of it will be very interesting and exciting. God had originally created everything pristine, beautiful and in balance. I haven't specifically, deeply researched what the prophets of the OT spoke on this subject. So I will stand corrected after proven differently. The most important that will be restored is the FULL truth, PURE language, One Language, ONE Church, ONE religion, One Spirit to guide us. Which will help improve man's nature. I believe that the languages can be reversed as fast in the future, as they were changed at the tower of Babel. If you stay tuned, you will be able to learn about the continuum chapters of events, until the Heavenly New Jerusalem ascends down. Everyone will be perfect forever. That is when Eternity starts, and no one will offend or be offended.

Celebrating Satan and the demons being put away is worth fasting and celebrating for!! It means peace and freedom eventually for the rest of humanity! We don't have the perspective of all the pain that God sees 24/7. These 6,000 years of his waiting patiently for us, is like 6 days to Him. I wonder how much joy He is experiencing to see the culminating of his glorious plan. What is years to us, is a short time to him. We know what it is like to see a new born baby anticipated or a newly married couple. It is interesting to know how they are feeling in this time. Most of us have mixed feelings. Sigh and cry, moan and groan and also excited to see the other "side".

Human nature tends to accentuate the negative; and drop the positive. Both in giving and receiving words. Sometimes a few seconds comment can sting for days. One Thanksgiving, I anticipated as much, so I prayed for a thicker skin. It worked. I remembered the negative comment, and it went over without stinging to the degree that it normally would have. Passing this on, because I think it is important to try to have the best attitude that we can have in spite of the offending person. Remember the phrase, "take the high road"... That means to take the gracious and Godly way, when you are not treated the best. Remember there are times, that we don't treat others the best either. We all have offended, and we all have been offended. God forgives us according to how we forgive others. And I definitely want him to forgive me. I have asked God to help me to forgive, when it was hard to do.

Excellent blog! An added suggestion, would be to them down. When you do get depressed. Look at your list, and remind yourself about them. The state of mind, may be too far down to take the energy to think in a positive way. Keep Praying for your encouraging needs and others.

This is a sermon that important to anyone, not clear on scriptures that may seem confusing or contradicting. I really appreciate you addressing the common scriptures in the Bible that "proves" the trinity. You went to the original meanings of these scriptures, which were later mistranslated. Thank you!

Some scriptures, are to only be used with right timing. The literal of turning the other cheek is one. Christ knew when to evade and when to allow Himself to be vulnerable. He was not a doormat, nor an enabler. I prefer to focus on 1 Peter 3:9 in the case of abuse. "Don't repay evil for evil, or insult for insult... Romans12:17 is similar and tells us to remain honorable. (Remember a soft answer turns away wrath.) Prov 22:24," Don't make friends with an angry man, and don't be a companion of a hot-tempered man." You can't change them, but you can change your location, or keep your distance. Unless they are your employer or you are underage to a parent. As stated already, seek wise counsel. UCG has such counseling available too. When questioning scriptures, remember God is a God of patterns, and look at the whole overall of the Bible. Don't center on one by itself without other explicit scriptures. Joseph ran from evil. What we have been taught as good is not always good. God says our thoughts are not His thoughts. We have all be affected by Satan's society. God blesses according to our obedience. God bless you.

Very beneficial analogy or parallel, in what we the Temple of God should be accomplishing.. This scripture came to my mind when you were giving it. Rev. 11:1 New Living Translation Then I was given a measuring stick, and I was told, "Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers.

WOW! THANK YOU!!! That was a good sermon. Very good for a way in organizing our meditation in examining ourselves for this time of the year. I would have liked it, if you would have included your notes to this valuable sermon on this page. Thank you for summarizing your sermon at the end.

WOW! Thank you for the parallel example of the two Fathers and two sons! It was a sobering and inspiring sermon. Abraham had to be super close to God to have that kind of faith! For an example to them... Prior to Abraham's time, I don't remember if there were any resurrections. That would have even made Abraham's faith tougher. At the beginning of Abraham's journey of faith, he struggled like all the rest of us. He had to learn incrementally too. He was 100 years old by the time that he proved and passed this test! By the end of the Bible, there were at least a dozen that had died and were resurrected, for our example. When my son died, I thanked God that I didn't have the tough test of Abraham; or Job who lost multiple children all at the same time. God gives some silver lining to think about, even during the worst trials of our lives.

When I was a child, reading Jeremiah 10 is what sold me on not keeping Christmas. I was attending a Sunday keeping church at the time, and had the experience of keeping xmas. Actually, I believe that many of the holidays...not all of them, are counterfeit of God's holy days.. God set up holy days that he commands for us to keep. My experience in keeping these holy days are more fulfilling than the holidays, that were set up by man. After I grew up, I started attending a church of God, that was more aligned with what the Bible taught. My children did not keep the holidays, and saw other children keeping them. They kept the holydays, and knew how much fun they were, and the lasting joy that goes with them. I asked them, which they preferred to keep. And they replied God's holy days. Especially the Feast of Tabernacles, which is the most joyous of all. You don't know the joy of God's holy days, until you experience them for yourself. The Feast of Tabernacles includes a time of travel, centered around family and last for 8 days and not ONE anti-climactic day!

This is such as strong foundational message. If we can get into the habit of prayer, while young, it will lead to a conduit for our spiritual strength from God. To enable us to succeed spiritually. I believe prayer is one of the contributing habits that the five wise virgins had that made the difference between them and the foolish. There is more resistance from Satan than ever to not pray. But it is a must. Your children will also have a more stable mind health, and I think will result in less bad attitudes and temper tantrums too.. Just my thinking. They need this for their salvation unto eternity, as well as your present peace of mind too. It is easier to maintain a good habit, then to break a bad habit later. Sorry for the awkward wording.

Excellent idea to go through the Ten Commandments. To prove that they are still in effect in the NT. They are also all magnified in the NT. This one showed a magnification to the first commandment. Christ did not do away, as we are commonly taught, but magnified them.

As a child, I had my mouth washed out with soap when used bad words. Which probably stopped with one occurrence. Thence, it hurts my emotional ears to hear or read such garbage. I have noticed, that it is the less intelligent and more slovenly dressed that will use filthy language. The main scriptures that comes to my mind, when hearing bad language are:
Eph 5:4. (NASB) and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
Colossians 3:8 But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.
