Hi Marsha. You make a very interesting comment! It seems that Satan became perverted and twisted in his thinking. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 give us some indications. He became lifted up with pride and influenced a third of the angels to follow him in rebellion against Almighty God. Apparently Satan chose to become filled with pride, anger, hatred, vanity, lust, violence, etc. The downward pull of human nature invites us to behave like Satan behaves!
