Thank you for an interesting study. I believe the great trumpet of Isaiah 27:13 is the Jubilee trumpet of Leviticus 25:9-10. This trumpet is also mentioned in Matthew 24:31. The elect in this verse are the 144,000 of Rev.7 Israelites that have been held captive in the tribulation. They lead a great multitude into the millennium to enjoy the freedom under Christ. The great trumpet cannot be the 7th Trumpet which has already been blown. The silver trumpets are blown on the Feast of Trumpets to announce Christs return ( Numbers 10:1-). The Jubilee trumpet is blown after the saints receive the nations ( Daniel 7:27).--Ken Reid

Hello Karen, My understanding is the tribulation will be cut short by one year by the overlapping of the Day of the Lord. This starts two and and a half years into the tribulation. The Israelites are God's elect ( Isaiah 45:4). God needs to save the Israelites because they will represent God's way of life in the millennium. ( Isaiah 49:5-6). Ken

Thank you Rick, for this great sermon on the Feast of Trumpets. Probably the best sermon on Trumpets I have heard. Just a point on the trumpet on Matthew 24:31. The elect in this verse ( and verse 22) is the jubilee trumpet calling the Israelite elect from captivity. Also mentioned in Isaiah 27:12-13. Great sermon --Ken

There is no rapture before the tribulation.Instead, the saints are taken to a place of safety on the earth. So the question is; where do they go at the 7th trumpet? When Christ meets the saints in the air He does not come to earth. He has not yet, at that point, been crowned King and the saints have not been raised to the God plane. Christ escorts His bride back to the Father in His temple and the door is shut ( Matt:25: 6-10). The saints then surrender their crowns of righteousness ( II Tim 4:8) which is then made into one crown for Christ to wear at His coronation ( Zechariah 6:10-15). The 7 plagues are then applied to the gentiles who hold the Israelites in captivity. When the plagues are completed the 7th trumpet period and the tribulation end. So the saints are protected from the 7 plagues just as the Israelites were in ancient Egypt ( Exodus 8:22) This was a sign from God to show what would happen to the saints at the end time. Only after the plagues will Christ return to earth with the saints. Not He will be wearing the many crowns of the saints ( Rev. 19:12). A study of all the scriptures make it plane.

Good program. Very informative. Would love to see a program on the 2nd exodus when Christ will work through Israel to bring salvation to the world as explained in Isaiah 49:6. A representative group of Israelites ( the 144,000 of Revelation 7), will lead a great multitude out of captivity into the millennium to be the foundational members of God's church at Jerusalem. Just a repeat of the 1st.exodus when Israel lead a multitude out of Egypt to establish the church at Mt. Sinai.

In regard to the 'elect' in the NT. I believe the elect in Matthew 24:22 and 31 refers rather to the Israelite elect. God informed Cyrus the Israelites were His elect ( Isaiah 45:4). Christ will work through these elect to be the light to the rest of the world ( Isaiah 49:6). A representative group will be chosen to lead a great multitude out of captivity after Christ returns. We know them as the 144,000 of Rev.7. They will be judged and cared for by the 12 apostles to ensure they remain on track ( Matt.19:28). So their survival is essential. When the saints are martyred in the tribulation, Christ will need to step in and halt Satan's attack because he will target those elect. Satan will not want God's truth taught in the kingdom. So the tribulation is cut short. Matt.24:31 takes place on atonement after Christ has removed Satan. The great trumpet is also mentioned in Isaiah 27:13. The angels are also called fishers and hunters in Jeremiah 16:14-16. So the Israelite elect will be the example to follow ( Zechariah 8:23,10:12, Zeph.3:20, Isaiah 65:22. God will remain true to His original covenant to Abraham and all will bring glory to Christ.

Hello Gary, Thanks for the program. However, I am some what confused. Are you saying the heavenly signs occur after the complete three and half years of tribulation? This would be after the Day of the Lord which runs over the last year of the tribulation ( Is.34:8). The way I read Matt.24:29 -after the tribulation of 'those days'.. The term 'those days' refers to the tribulation that has occurred up until that time ( two and a half years). Also, the stars falling from heaven picture the martyring of the saints ( Rev.6:11,13). This brings on the wrath of God (v17) which runs through the Day of the Lord ending with the last 7 plagues ( Rev.15:1). This ends the 7th trumpet period after which Christ will return. It is impossible for Christ to return at the 7th trumpet because He has not, at that point, been crowned or given the gentiles time to repent due to the plagues.
