I read this book many years ago when it was first published because many of my co-workers had read it and hailed it as a tremendous book. It was certainly a captivating read but I agree with your assessment 100%. It is a wholly blasphemous fairy tale! It's a sober thing to treat God so lightly! God denied Moses entrance into the promised land because he did not treat Him as Holy.

Just watched this sermon, Mr. Kubik, and wanted to tell you how grateful we are for you and the leadership of this church. You have been such a shining example to us and to those you touch, even in the world. Thank you for being a living epistle. This sermon truly encourages me to be more involved and to let my light shine in my little corner of the world!

Thank you for your words, Amanda. This issue is dear to my heart. I worked in a pro-life pregnancy center for many years. I always told clients "Where there is life, there is Hope" and that is so true. I cannot tell you the joy I feel when I see clients' children growing up and being the joy of their mothers' lives! We just can't imagine that joy when we are in the pain of "decision-making" and people are pushing us to make a choice that they think will make everything all-better. An un-planned pregnancy is always complicated psychologically but morally it is very simple. God is a God of Life! There is always Hope...

Thank you so much for your updates. I love seeing the smiling faces from other congregations and to hear about what the churches are doing around the nation and the world! Thank you to you and Beverly for your service to God's people!!
Thank you, too, for the reminder about our appearance. It is a timely message. We must be ready to change for the sake of Jesus Christ. It is a confused and volatile world we live in and we are to be salt and light. Thank you so much for all you do! You are appreciated and prayed for in our home.

Thank you so much, Mr. Kubik! This is such a perfect summary of the Why? of no Christmas. I have, in the past, just tried to side-step and ignore the subject with others. I hate the questions like "Don't you believe in Jesus??" I may just use your letter to write my own "Open Letter" to my family and friends. Perhaps I'll hand them out in summer...away from "the most wonderful time of the year..." :-) Thank you for your clarity and devotion to the Truth!!

    Cindy,
I will keep you and your husband held up in prayer. This decision is life-changing and will demand every bit of strength and resolve that you have. I have been reading in Luke at Mary's response to the news that she would bear the Christ. She rejoiced! But Simeon reminded her "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too." This is a walk of faith! I will pray for you both to be diligent to walk in faith!

A compelling message and full of truth that we all need in order to navigate this evil world. I am especially grateful that you address those youngsters who have yet to make these choices that are not just "social choices" but truly life and death choices as the Bible says.
