    Hi Paul,
    Thank you for your questions.
    1. Jews are those who descend from the Tribe of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Israel. 10 generations after Noah, through his son Shem, came Abram, whose name was changed to Abraham (Genesis 11-15), whose son was Isaac, the father of Jacob. His name was changed to Israel (Genesis 35:10), and Judah was thee third born so of Israel. We are all descendants of Noah, but not all Jews.
    2. It appears that only earth (ground) bound creatures and birds were taken onto the Ark (Gen. 7:8, 14, 21-22), the ocean creatures were not. God was able to bring the creatures that needed saving time the Ark, by whatever means necessary. Whether that means the continents were not yet separated (one theory) or He transported them by another means, that is not clear. Also, most likely there was only one type of a species included and they diversified in the time after that.
    3. You are correct, local flooding would not have cleansed the whole world. Reading Genesis 7:11-24, especially verse 19, may clarify your question. It sounds astonishing, but God is not bound by our human imagination.
