I very much enjoyed this article by Mr. Kubik. It is very foolish for individuals to think that they can have immortality without God being involved. I am somewhat confused by a scripture that Mr. Kubik sited. It is this: Can we grasp what this means? The apostle Paul makes it plain: “We also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly [human] body that it may be conformed to His glorious body” (Philippians 3:22-23). Since Philippians 3 ends with verse 21, what part of Philippians is Mr. Kubik referring to? I am sorry if I am sounding nitpicking. I respect Mr. Kubik very much and I appreciate all that he does for all the members of the United Church of God. I would just like some clarification on just this small point. Like I said it was a very good article and gives us much food for thought.
Mitchell your reasoning sounds sound, but since John the Baptist is the cousin of Jesus, and was born 6 months before Jesus, Jesus' birth would have been born in late September or early October. I believe Jesus' birth was on the Feast of Trumpets. This is my own belief on the subject so let me know if my reasoning is sound.
