Jonathan “Ray” Prater lives in Florence, Kentucky, with his wife and son. He attends Sabbath services with the Cincinnati, Ohio, East congregation. He was born in Willard, Ohio, and grew up in North Vernon, Indiana. Ray graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in geography. He has worked as an environmental inspector for the state of Kentucky for the last 20 years.
Ray was stationed in Germany during his military service when he became interested in the Church's literature. He attended his first Sabbath service while on leave. He was baptized three years later in 1982.
Ray enjoys reading, technology and making people laugh. His long-term goal is to serve in God's Kingdom.
