Rick Clowdus was born and grew up in the northern part of Alabama. Although he presently lives in Georgia near Chattanooga, TN, he still calls Alabama "home" and fondly remembers growing up in a rural, country setting.
After finishing school in the early 1970s, he worked as a drafter drawing house plans for a small Alabama firm. He moved to the Chattanooga area in 1980, the same year he married his wife Beverly. From 1980 until 2014 he was employed by an engineering firm as a drafter and CAD technician until 2014. Since that time, he and Beverly have done part-time volunteer work for seniors ("meals-on-wheels") along with his online sales business with Amazon and eBay.
Rick and Beverly have two sons, Jeff (who married Laura Burt in 2014) and Tim and attend the United Church of God in Chattanooga.
