With this said how then we will explain the following verses:
1Tim 5:3 Honour widows that are widows indeed.
1Tim 5:4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
And then the next is the most profound for me and a stern warning as I see it:
1Tim 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Please forgive me if I have it wrong but I have a question:
Is this not a fact that the tithe that is referred to belong to the Old Covenant and the temple related to Israel and the priests and high priest.
Matt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
And therefore Jesus whom was the New Covenant spoke to the scribes and Pharisees and eluded to them that they pay a tithe but the weightier matters are left wanting and that that is what should be done but they did not and should not have left it undone, because they did tithe but that is not what Jesus wanted them to concentrate on?
