It's a pagan belief..pagans worship a sun god. It says in the Bible not to worship false idols. It was brought in by Satan to turn Christians away from our heavenly father. He has deceived many with this belief of Xmas day. Although his birth was a gift to us all I believe we were supposed to be focusing on his gift of saving us through his death .
