Each of God’s Holy Days has great meaning about His plan of salvation for us in the church today as well as for the world. These days lay out God’s plan for mankind. We are here on Pentecost as the first fruits He has chosen. How is His plan going today? His plan starts with His first fruits.

What’s the condition of your moral compass? This is the time of year that we should be examining ourselves. Are we truly in the faith? Are we following God? Are we enduring the trials that come along, committing ourselves to God, and continuing on toward the “Promised Land”?

We need the Passover – it’s a reminder that we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, that we had no hope without Him, that He sacrificed Himself for our sins, and that we are to live with a determination each day to be more like Him.

The whole world must come to repentance, and it must start with the sons of Jacob. God’s promise to restore Israel is contained throughout the Bible. The magnitude of this prophesied restoration is highlighted in Isaiah 49:20.

How do we keep motivated to follow God, knowing that we will have to face difficulties from time to time along this spiritual journey? How thankful are we that we don’t have to make this journey alone? Joshua 1:9 “…do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

How is your faith? Has it grown since you buried that “old man” in baptism? Has it grown since the last Passover? Faith is more than believing in someone or something. True faith is believing God–believing that what He says He will do, He will do.
