[Gary Petty] We just finished a Beyond Today program where we offered the booklet “Managing Your Finances” – very important booklet on helping you get control of your money. And one of the things we talked about – it’s very, very important – is learning how to budget. First step you need to take in getting control of your money.

[Darris McNeely] If you don’t know where your money is going, then it will go and it will not be there. You will not know what happened to it. Early on in our marriage, my wife and I, we had a budget, very strict, we didn’t have a lot of money. And we stayed with it all the time. Through the years, we’ve tried to have a budget and continue to have one, but at times we got off of it. I’ve found the times that we got away from it, we overspent. And just recently we sat down once again and reestablished a budget – makes things a whole lot easier and secure.

[Steve Myers] Definitely one of the challenges you face because you’ve got to prioritize your life. You know, what’s most important? And I think that certainly helps you to realize what is most important to us and where are things going and once you can sort that out, it makes the rest kind of fall in line a little bit easier.

[Gary Petty] You know, ordering our booklet “Managing Your Finances” – in here there’s an entire sheet of instructions on how to set up your personal budget.
