Here's a lesson from my car's windshield.

Transcript

[Steve Myers] Why is a car's windshield so big, and yet the rearview mirror is so small? Maybe part of the answer lies in Isaiah. Now, that might sound kind of odd, but in Isaiah 43:18 – gives us some insight. It says, "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old." Verse 19, "Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it?  I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19). In other words, God's saying the windshield is bigger, because God wants us to look forward. The rearview mirror is smaller because we can't get focused and concentrated on the past. The past is not as important as the future. God's doing a new thing. He can do a new thing in your life, as well. So let's look forward.

For BT Daily, I'm Steve Myers. We'll see you next time.
