[Steve Myers] Trinity Sunday is something many religions celebrate this weekend. Lutherans celebrate it. Catholics celebrate it. Most Methodists celebrate it, the Anglicans, the Lutherans, even many of the Baptists celebrate what's called Trinity Sunday. And yet there's an issue. Is God a Trinity?
If you begin to check your Bible out you'll find the word Trinity is not in the Bible. Now this may be a startling thought for many of our viewers, and yet the Bible does not reveal God as three in one. I mean just think about this for a minute. Who did Jesus Christ pray to? Did He pray to Himself? If He was a three in one He wouldn't have had to of been praying when He said, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
And so this concept is something I challenge you to check out because it is a serious one. John 4:24 is a passage to keep in mind when it comes to the Trinity itself and how to properly worship God. It says "God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth."
So if you think you're worshipping God in truth as a three in one I think you better think about it. I think you better look into this.
We have a Beyond Today program called, "Has Religion Lied to You?" Check it out. Watch that program. Pray about it. Get our booklet ( Is God a Trinity? ). Notice online our information about the Trinity . We hope and we pray that you will check it out and come to see that God wants to be worshipped both in spirit and in truth. Take the challenge.
That's BT Daily . We'll see you next time.
