The United Church of God, which publishes The Good News, is indeed a Christian church. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of mankind. He came with a message announcing the Kingdom of God and by his life and teachings revealed the Father.

We also believe that God the Father sent Him to earth to die for our sins (Galatians 4:4-5). Resurrected after three days and nights in the grave, Jesus returned to heaven as our High Priest. When the time is right, God will send Him back to earth to rule the nations (Revelation 20:4-6).

The United Church of God bases its beliefs on the Bible and the practices of the early New Testament Church rather than longtime traditions not found in or supported by the Bible.
