In Acts 8 there is a magnificent story about a man who was at one time the treasurer for the queen of Ethiopia. This man, who is also known as the “Ethiopian eunuch”, was searching for understanding of God’s word, when God specifically sent his servant Philip to help him along in His calling from God.

When Philip arrived, he asked him, “How can I [understand] unless someone guides me?” So Philip preached to him the gospel of Jesus Christ and upon his repentance, he said to the eunuch, “If you believe with all your heart, you may [be baptized].” The eunuch replied, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” And he was baptized into the body of Jesus Christ that day and received the gift of God’s Holy Spirit.

As of last Sabbath, six of the students at ABC have been baptized and there is two more coming this weekend! They have answered God’s calling and obeyed the command we are given in Acts 2:38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
See All... that says, “Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” It has been absolutely humbling and exciting to see God perform this miracle in the lives of my fellow classmates as they begin their journey to follow Him with all of their heart.

Just as God used Philip, He has also used his servants today to continue to teach the word of God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. The students at ABC have received such instruction and guidance in their special calling from God in a unique classroom setting. But as God’s people, we have also been given a magnificent command to be proof to this world of Jesus Christ and God’s way, as revealed in His true word. We can rejoice in the fact that we are God’s servants and He is calling His children today.
