Those to whom He gave light were to provide that same light to others who were in darkness. This is a daily and ongoing action of the followers of Jesus Christ. In a room of totally darkness, even a small light is significant.

This world of ours is filled with darkness. Those who understand the principle of lighting a candle to provide a little light, also know how right and good it is to make a start to improve this world. Taking action even in the smallest way is always possible and helpful. We can start today with the smallest of actions. We cannot do everything and we cannot remove all the darkness or make all improvements. But we can light a candle and we can make little starts to improve things—and we can start right now.
