We are not willing to wait for anything for very long, and we usually find that waiting only frustrates us and makes us angry. How can waiting on God renew our strength? How can it make us stronger and not weaker? Isaiah gave the answer in Isaiah 40:29. God gives power to the weak and He increases strength.

It pleases God when we wait on Him. He looks for faith in us all. Faith is the belief that God lives, loves us and will always do what is best for us. We must believe He exists and He rewards those who please Him (Hebrews 11:6). If our mindset is correct and our trust in God is as it ought to be, we will not become angry and frustrated. We will quietly get on with our lives as we leave our big problem in His hands. Waiting includes accepting no answer from God. That is where strength lies. Trusting Him whether we live or die makes us strong.
