You need to be on a diet. But what diet does Jesus suggest?

Transcript

[Steve Myers] “You need to be on a diet.” Well, a lot of people are on diets. Many like the Atkins Diet – so they don’t have any bread, pasta, any of those kinds of things, stock up on protein. Eat lots of protein, is what Atkins will tell you. Well, there’s all kinds of various diets out there, whether it’s the fat-free diets, you don’t want anything with additives or preservatives or anything like that. You can choose from so many variations out there. I heard of one diet called the – what was it called? – the caveman diet. And people tried to go back and tried to figure out whatever caveman ate that must have been good. Well, those are so many silly variations of things – you know, what should you do?

Well, there is the best diet. I would call it the bread of life diet. Think about, what would Jesus want us to do? What would – well, what would Jesus eat? I guess we could say it that way. Well, in the book of John, we get a little bit of an idea of what the best diet would be. In John 6:32 John 6:32Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
American King James Version×
, here’s what Jesus Himself said. He says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives His life to the world.” You see, that bread, the best diet, the bread of life is Jesus Christ. And He goes on to say, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:32-35 John 6:32-35 [32] Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. [33] For the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world. [34] Then said they to him, Lord, ever more give us this bread. [35] And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.

).

So if you’ve got to pick a diet, this better be the diet that you pick. It’s the one that, when people are on this program, they’re not going to hunger spiritually, they’re not going to thirst spiritually. And you know what? Most of those diets you get on? They just don’t seem to follow through on what they promise. But on the best diet, on the bread of life diet, Jesus Christ will absolutely follow through with every single one of His promises. So stick to the diet. Turn to Jesus Christ. That’s the best diet you can find.

That’s BT Daily. We’ll see you next time.

Yes this diet you refer to is the best for our souls however if we want to cleanse the human body "the temple of God" we need to detox. Our bodies are bombarded with pesticides, GMO's and other unnatural things. When our immune system is fighting to get rid of the toxins we have been eating it is to busy to fight off other problems we might have so there are many things I could tell you here but there is not enough space. But here are a few stop eating sugar, cancer cells live on sugar, stay away from bread and read the labels on the food products if you can't understand the ingredients that is our in the food don't eat it. God gave us all the foods we need. Get fresh organic veggies into your diet and lots of fruits and nuts and also find some good supplements to get the proper nutrition try eating the food raw as often as possible. Cooking food kills about 50% of the nutrition. God bless
