Atonement is the process of removing obstacles in our relationship with God. The Day of Atonement, a holy day during the Fall Festival season, symbolizes a day in the future when Satan will be chained and imprisoned. Right now, the process of atonement requires humility and honesty, and can use the tool of fasting to draw closer to God.

Baptism is an important step in the process of salvation—it’s a full immersion in water, symbolizing the death of the old self and being raised to new life. "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins," (Acts 2:38).

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:
'They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.'
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." (2 Corinthians 9:8-11)

The term "Body of Christ" refers to the entire group of individuals who profess belief in Jesus Christ, and are empowered by his Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Discernment of the Body of Christ is crucial for our health and life (1 Corinthians 11:13). We must not only discern Christ’s body, but also our placement and function within it (1 Corinthians 12:12).

"...that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world..." (Philippians 2:15).
As Christians, we are expected to shine as lights in a darkened world, setting an example for those inside and outside the faith. Our character must be refined until it stands out to all who come in contact with us.

God's Law serves an important purpose, both historically and in modern times. God's Law shows His character, His justice, and points forward to His Son, Jesus Christ.

God is love! (1 John 4:8, 16) Often referred to as "agape" in New Testament Greek and "hesed" in Old Testament Hebrew, God's love for us transcends words. It is crucial that we understand, teach and embody this godly love. The two Great Commandments center on loving God and loving one another (Deuteronomy 6:5; Leviticus 19:18). It is both our duty and our joy to internalize God’s love for us and to express it toward God, others and even our enemies!

Jesus Christ came to Earth to start a new Kingdom, one that functions contrary to the norms of earthly kingdoms. In the Kingdom of God, the weak come first. The humble are lifted up. The ones who give the most, receive the most. To follow Jesus Christ, we must live by the laws of His heavenly kingdom, here and now.

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works." Titus 2:11-14

How can an all-loving God torture people forever? What happens to babies who aren't baptized? How can this be fair? When we let the Bible speak for itself, we find that God is consistent, fair, and loving.

Left to our own devices, humans create and perpetuate hatred and destruction. God's plan to redeem humanity transforms our hurtful and hurting human nature to resonate with God's nature of healing.

The Kingdom of God is the fulfillment of God's plan for humanity. In order to take part in it, we must let the Holy Spirit work in us, helping us to know Jesus Christ and God the Father.

Family is the structure of civilization, and healthy family relationships give us security, stability, and happiness. Many of us do not have this experience in our pasts, but it is never too late to build up your family moving forward.
