Home Office Weekly Update (9/6/25): No Prophetic Times or Perspective this Week
Hi everyone,
Attached is this week's Home Office Weekly Update. The Update begins with this letter from UCG President Elliott:
Forty-six up-and-coming leaders from congregations in England, New Zealand, Canada and the U.S. attended our annual Leadership Workshop in Cincinnati this past weekend.
Our Ministerial and Member Services team of instructors was very appreciative of the men and women who showed zeal towards greater service by sacrificing their time and expense to participate in the conference. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and pray for them and everyone whom Christ will put in the Body where it pleases Him (Ephesians 4:11).
Then, starting early each morning this week, the Council of Elders met at the home office to confer on its quarterly trove of Church-related business items. Much was accomplished in the concentrated time allocated to the business of our board of directors. Please look for the Council of Elders report detailing the week's accomplishments.
Our media department staff have been creating test video podcasts as another potential initiative for disseminating the gospel to diverse audiences across developing media platforms.
Exciting developments are taking place in our gospel proclamation efforts as well:
- Print and digital materials are being written and published in new languages for quite a few previously unserved countries and languages—particularly in Asia, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
- Our media department staff have been creating test video podcasts as another potential initiative for disseminating the gospel to diverse audiences across developing media platforms.
- In the near future we will begin screen-testing potential new Beyond Today video presenters.
Thank you for your ongoing service to God’s Church and for your prayers for the work of preaching the gospel and preparing God’s people.
The Prophetic Times and Perspective were not published this week. They will resume publication next week. In the meantime, take the time to skim the rest of the stories in this week’s Update.
