Prayer request from Nick and Megan Lamoureux

Megan and I would like to humbly ask for your prayers on behalf of my mother, Donna Lamoureux. She experienced digestive issues earlier this year and was anointed, but the issues grew more problematic over the summer. Three weeks ago some tests revealed that she has colon cancer, with a mass restricting the function of her colon. To further complicate matters, she learned that the colon cancer has spread, and 10 lesions were discovered on both lobes of her liver. The surgeons are unwilling to remove the mass in her colon until the liver cancer is addressed.

On September 4, my mother was informed that she has up to 6 months to live, or possibly 3 years if she is willing to have a chest port installed and endure bi-weekly injections of chemo treatments. She isn't in pain yet, but the doctors say she will be. She has not yet made a conclusive decision on her course of action, but if she chooses to undergo treatment they are projecting a fairly low quality of life. Although she is committed to doing what she can with her diet, due to the malignant tumor in her colon, her efforts are limited. She has a consultation scheduled with a radiologist this week to learn their perspective. She also attempted to meet with a naturopath to learn about alternative treatment options, but they said her condition was too advanced and declined to pursue further consultation. 

We read in Exodus 15:26 and Psalm 103:3 about the Omnipotent, Eternal God who heals His people, and how that healing doesn't come by man but through sacrifice of Jesus Christ. My mother is assured of God's desire to heal and greatly desires to fulfill the admonition in Psalm 71:17-18. However, she also remembers the guidance in 1 John 5:14, "that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." Our family would like to ask you to please make supplication to "the LORD who Heals"—requesting Him to intervene mightily to preserve and restore Donna to fullness of life, but only so far as it aligns with His perfect will and plan, and for the utmost purpose of glorifying His magnificent name.
