UCG Announcements (1/24/26): Local Sabbath Services Canceled

Announcement Posted In

Hi friends,

My hope is that you are well this Sabbath, and you were able to get the items you need to ride out the snow, ice, and wind storm meteorologists say will begin sometime on Saturday. With several forecasters predicting the storm will begin tomorrow at 1 PM, I chose to cancel services in Atlanta and Buford out of an abundance of caution. Make no mistake, this is when prayers for protection are really needed (Proverbs 15:29, Psalm 34:17, James 5:16). Do not hesitate to ask God for His protection for those in our area and across the U.S. wherever and whenever this storm hits. Thank you.

Here are this week’s announcements as you stay warm and safe at home.

1. No Sabbath Services in Buford and Atlanta. Tomorrow, Sabbath services are canceled in Buford and Atlanta due to approaching weather.

In their place, please tune into the one of the United Church of God webcasts for services.

  • The Cincinnati, (Home Office) webcast is offered here: https://www.ucg.org/watch/webcast No password is needed to view this webcast. It begins at 2:30 PM.
  • Other options. A full listing of webcasts are offered here: https://www.ucg.org/webcast/all To view any of these services, enter the password tree of life (with no spaces) in the channel password box just as you would for our webcast.

Whichever service you view, be sure to take into account the time differences as they impact Sabbath Service start times.

2. Next UCG Atlanta Bible Study: 1/27. Our next UCG Atlanta Bible Study takes place on Tuesday evening, January 27 at 7 PM. Mr. Jerold Aust will review Hebrews 6 and go through Hebrews 7. Below is information to attend the study online:

Memory Verse

Isaiah 58:6-8 Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
