Hi friends,

Here’s hoping you are doing well this chilly Sabbath evening. As I shared earlier tonight via our local websites, the main UCG website at https://www.ucg.org/ is now updated and live. Further, our new local UCG sites have also been updated: https://www.ucg.org/congregations/atlanta-ga and https://www.ucg.org/congregations/buford-ga. If you haven’t tried them out, I encourage you to do so after you peruse this week’s announcements. Here they are.

1. We have Sabbath services tomorrow in both Buford and Atlanta. The Buford congregation is set to meet at the La Quinta Inn, Braselton at 10:30 AM. The Atlanta congregation will meet at Unity Atlanta in the afternoon at 2:30 PM.

2. If you are sick this Sabbath, plan to watch the Atlanta webcast tomorrow online. To view the service, enter the password tree of life (with no spaces) in the channel password box. The URL location is: https://www.ucg.org/congregations/atlanta-ga/webcast

3. Our UCG Atlanta Bible Studies on Revelation resume this week on a new night of the week at a little bit earlier time: Tuesday, December 3, at 7 PM. Mr. Jerold Aust will continue in Revelation. We will cover Revelation 10 this Tuesday. The Bible study will last for one hour, followed by 15 minutes for questions and answers. Check back on our local Atlanta website on Monday for a link to this study. In the meantime, be sure to read this section of scripture in advance.

4. The next local Sabbath service, Bible-study format takes place on Dec. 7. We will continue in the book of Daniel that day. To not overburden our snack providers, we will not have a formal Coffee & Fellowship Social that day in Atlanta in the Fellowship Hall.

5. We’ve postponed our annual Feast slide show this year until Dec. 14. To make it happen, we need your pictures. To obtain them, please go to the designated Google drive link below and upload your Feast photos. This year, we ask that you submit 4-5 Feast photos per person, with a 10 photo max per family. Dec. 7 is our official deadline for uploading Feast photos. Here is the Google drive location for uploading photos:

6. We have our next combined Atlanta/Buford Sabbath Service on Dec. 14. Sabbath School and Teen Bible Study classes will resume that day. Additionally, we have a covered dish meal scheduled for after services then. Our theme for that meal? Chili, soup, and bread (e.g., fresh bread or corn bread). And while we tentatively planned a costume dance that evening, we will hold the event for a later date in 2025, assuming we have enough willing to participate. Look for that announcement sometime down the road.
