Hello everyone,

Happy Sabbath. I don’t know about you, but we are starting to get excited about the coming Fall Feasts (Leviticus 23). As for a countdown, this Sabbath we are 45 days from the Feast of Trumpets, 55 days from the Day of Atonement, and 58 days from the start of the Feast of Tabernacles. In God’s brilliance, He commanded that His people keep these Feasts annually and review the steps in His plan—steps that include:

  • Christ’s return to this earth (The Feast of Trumpets)
  • Satan’s removal (The Day of Atonement)
  • Christ establishing God’s government on earth for 1000 years (The Feast of Tabernacles)
  • God making His truth available to everyone (The Eighth Day).

As we look forward to these days, let us begin praying about and preparing for them mentally, physically (as we finalize travel plans), and spiritually. God’s Feasts are vitally important at renewing and growing our understanding of what God has in store for humanity.

Here are this week’s announcements.

4. Service locations in Buford and Atlanta from August to September. We will have Sabbath Services in Buford and Atlanta on the following dates: 8/9, 8/23, 8/30, 9/6 and 9/20.

5. Our next combined service takes place on 8/16. We will have a cover-dish meal that day. The theme for the meal will be a Taco Bar. Olé! Please listen tomorrow for announcements so you know how you might contribute to this upcoming meal.

6. Combined Service: Atlanta Hymn Sing on 9/13. It’s been a little while since we last did an Atlanta Hymn Sing. (The Pandemic short-circuited our hymn-sing routine.) This is all the more reason to give our Atlanta Hymn Sing another go. We are scheduled for a combined service on September 13. On that day, we will try our Atlanta Hymn Sing once more. The hymn sing will take place on 9/13 from 1:30 – 2 PM.

That is for this week. Have a wonderful start to God’s Sabbath.

Sincerely,

Philip Aust

2 Samuel 13:20-22 Her brother Absalom said to her, “Has that Amnon, your brother, been with you? Be quiet for now, my sister; he is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” And Tamar lived in her brother Absalom’s house, a desolate woman. 21 When King David heard all this, he was furious. 22 And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad; he hated Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar. (Consequences of Fornication)
